For Youth
CONFLICT RESOLUTION WORKSHOP - FOR YOUTH AGED 12-18

The basic workshop consists of 10 2-hour sessions which may be offered sequentially over three school days, or in an after-school format with each session on a different day. It is important for the same group of people to attend each session, and for each individual to attend all sessions.

The workshop is experiential, with little to no lecturing from the facilitators. Instead, the participants go through a series of exercises and games, followed by facilitated group discussions of the lessons and insights gained by the participants.
Themes for the exercises and games begin with affirmation and self-esteem, then move on to nonviolent communication skills, cooperation within a group, and role plays in which to practice the lessons learned earlier. Laughter and fun are essential components of the community formation which begins in the first exercise and builds throughout the workshop.
